Every summer, Rose travels with her parents to the quiet beach town of Awago. There, she reunites with her friend Windy, and together they spend their days watching scary movies, swimming, eating too much candy, and talking about everything. But this summer feels different.

Rose is starting to notice the growing tension between her parents, and in the town, a local drama involving a pregnant teen and a group of older boys starts to unfold. As the summer progresses, Rose finds herself standing on the edge between childhood and adulthood, facing emotions she doesn’t fully understand and questions she’s not sure she’s ready to answer.
